I started working at Youthy in 2010 when Ellie was initially trying to grow the team, it’s the best place to work and the young people and staff are wonderful.
Since then it’s all been about growing the team and getting young people involved in a real way.
I am a qualified Youth Worker and also have a degree in Performing Arts. I am the lead worker for the Youth Theatre and also get involved in many of the other projects and help Ellie out with the fundraising.
The young people are fantastic at coming up with ideas and I am inspired by their creativity and enthusiasm. I can see some Youth Workers in the making amongst them and a Young Worker Programme is something I am researching to enable some of the older ones to get recognition and accreditation for the effort they put in.
